G.FOLEY

Social Media Management and Website Design

Hey,

I’m Gina.

My mission is to create real value in the relationship between your company and customers through authenticity and aesthetics.

My goal is to balance creativity and logic; creating beautiful content with strategic thinking behind it.

Education

The greatest part of my education was achieved at Emerson College in Boston, MA; where I received my Bachelors of Science in Marketing Communications. My experiences in class, extracurriculars and in the city has truly shaped the person I am today. I have gained expertise in many areas; including graphic design, storytelling, copywriting, strategy development, establishing brand image, photography and videography, events planning, analytics and results tracking, collaborative design and the creative process as a whole. My education has helped me to balance the creative and logical sides of my brain to work together in perfect unison, each side being used when it is needed during different stages in the process.

My Creative Process

I believe that creativity is something that has to flow and we have to cultivate the right environment around us and in our minds for it to flow to. My creative process usually looks like lighting a candle, pouring a cup of tea, putting on a good playlist and then I begin to flow. I use methods like morning pages and meditation to empty my mind and prepare it for new ideas, and I like to get grounded through connecting to nature or to my body through a yoga practice. I consistently show up for these practices because they help me to flow and to create the best work.

My Story

I grew up by the beach as an athlete and an artist in Southern, RI. At the core of me has always been the desire to create and to move (and of course my love for the ocean). Growing up, I loved to paint with acrylics. As I got older, I took the same concepts into graphic design and photography. In college, I played lacrosse and had two major injuries, surgeries and recoveries. During these times, I was forced to slow down and it led me to meditation, gratitude for the things I took for granted, and noticing all the beautiful things around me. When I finally began to move again, I fell in love with yoga and continued to live in a way where I was connected to all the beautiful things in life. I am now more grateful for my physical, mental and spiritual health and pay attention to it everyday.
